LANGTANG REGION TREk

The Langtang Region is another one of the most beautiful trekking region of Nepal. This region is considered to be third most popular region in trekking. The Langtang Region lies in the south along Tibet, in the northern part of Kathmandu. It is sandwiched between the high Himalayas in the north and slightly lower range of snowy mountains in the south. The splendid views of the Langtang Region are still the major attractions for tourists in Nepal.

To the west of The Langtang Region resides the Ganesh Himal [6000m-7000m]. Also, a remote but beautiful valley called Helambu fall in this region. A high mountain lake "Gosainkunda" is also a part of the Langtang Region.

Different ethnic groups like Tamangs and Sherpas live here. Getting into their culture and know about these ever-friendly people adds a different charm to the trek. The forests in this region are temperate and sub-alpine. Wild lives in the Annapurna region include migratory birds, dear, monkeys, tahr and pika. Also, different species of flora and fauna are available here.

Trekking in the Langtang Region starts from the lower part of Langtang valley, through the forests and the lands of the Sherpas and also through Langtang National Park. The trekking continues to Kyangjin Gompa [3740m] from where we can have a view of the small lake beyond Yala. We return back to Syabru village and trip to Sing Gompa, where the holy lake "Gosainkunda" is situated. We cross the Llaurebena Pass [4610m] and then forward to the south of Langtang region. We reach the Helambu valley and then down to Chisapani and then back to Kathmandu.
